John has more than 35 years of commercial real estate investment and financing experience across Europe, the US, Asia and Latin America. At Blackbear, he focuses on deal sourcing, execution and investment management. Previously, John was Global Head of Commercial Real Estate at Deutsche Bank, where he oversaw more than €50 billion of CRE assets and a team of 500 professionals. He also established Merrill Lynch's European mortgage financing business and later led significant principal and distressed real estate investments across Europe. He was the founder of EG Real Estate Advisors, where he acquired a controlling stake, and was a board member of CA Immo, a listed €5 billion Class A Central European office owner and developer.
